Hooray for Stephane Dion

With a leader like Stephane Dion, we can all be pretty confident that the liberals won't be re-elected into office again anytime soon. This guy seems to make a career of saying stupid things and putting his foot in his mouth.

His latest idiocy comes with the allegations that Taliban prisoners captured by our troops in Afghanistan are being tortured after we hand them over to the Afghan government. Mr. Dion suggested that we should instead bring them to Canada.

What would he suggest? Build a new a prison at the expense of taxpayers to house and feed them? Then what? After they've served their time (however long that would be) release them into our society? I don't think so.

At least he realized afterwards that this was a stupid idea and back-pedaled. And as Stephen Harper suggested, let's not take the word of captured Taliban terrorists at face value in the first place.

New Blog

So you've probably noticed that this is a new blog. The database for my original blog running on my own web hosting account somehow became corrupted, and I couldn't create any new posts.
Rather than spend hours trying to figure out what was wrong I figured I'd just use this as my new blog. Maybe when I have the time I'll import all my old posts from previous years into this blog...
